This region is steeped in history, with numerous remains dating back to medieval and Gallo-Roman times, such as the ancient theatre in Vienne.
Each summer for the last 20 years it has been the venue for the prestigious Vienne Jazz Festival.
Vienne
Beginning over 2000 years ago, the Roman era and the Middle Ages have both left their mark on Vienne, located between the river Rhône and the surrounding hills.
