Vienne
On the shores of the Rhône stands Vienne, a town steeped in Gallo-Roman and medieval history.
For over twenty years, the Roman theatre at the foot of Mount Pipet has been home to the Vienne Jazz Festival.

Ancient Theatre
Considered to be one of the most important of its kind in the Roman Empire, today the theatre is home to many events such as the Vienne Jazz Festival. Guided tours available from the Tourist Office.

Fine Arts and Archaeology Museum
The museum's collection includes paintings dating from the 16th to 19th centuries and the 20th century, earthenware, stoups, pharmacy jars, and sculptures by local artists from the 19th and 20th centuries. Local archaeological finds include bronzes, ceramics, lead pipes, bone objects, ivory, silverware, iron tools...
Open all year. April - October: Tuesday - Sunday, 9.30 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. November - March: Tuesday - Friday, 9.30 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. weekends 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Saint-Romain-en-Gal Museum
Visit the site and discover shops, warehouses, workshops and grand houses that were abandoned in AD 3. The museum holds a collection of restored mosaics, models and objects of daily life.
